OVERVIEW
2025 has already been a huge year for Searchland as we continue to release new
features to enhance your experience on the platform. We are always looking to
invest in our software and add new data points, with the end goal to maximise
value for you - our customers. This webinar will take you through some of
these new feature releases and show you how best to use them to get the most
value for your business. You can click on the headings below to view the
feature release post from Searchland.
Demographics
● Visualise demographics on the map
● Deep dive into specific areas like councils and smaller output areas
● Customise metrics, graphs and charts
● Filter searches on the Sourcing tool by demographics
● Compare data across geographical scales simultaneously
● View demographics data in the Title Overview
Search Planning Documents
● Search for planning applications based on the text within documents
associated with the application
● Effective for planning applications from 2023 onwards - we are working
to backdate this to cover all applications since 1990!
● Text from images or handwritten documents is not yet supported
Schools tool
● Designed to provide in-depth school data directly within Searchland
● Visualise school locations to understand the local educational landscape
● Filter by key characteristics, like Ofsted ratings or subscription
numbers
● Click on any school to view its details, performance and offerings
● Proximity analysis on the Title Overview
● Use the Sourcing tool by filtering based on distance to nearest school,
or proximity to schools with specific Ofsted ratings etc.
● Data is sourced directly from the Department for Education and is
updated annually in September to keep you up to date with the latest
information
Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs)
● Comprehensive coverage of all NSIP projects across England and Wales
● Advanced filter in the Planning Applications tool
● Proactive alerts for when the status of an NSIP project changes
● Provides a centralised hub to track NSIP projects alongside critical
planning constraints, local plan policies and more
Adopted Highways
● This layer shows whether nearby roads are publicly maintained, the road
type and the road status (adopted, private, mixed)
● Find it under Transport in the Control Centre
● Also available as a filter in the Sourcing tool
● Data is collected directly from councils
AI Title Overview Chatbot
● Our most powerful and groundbreaking artificial intelligence tool
● Pulls insights from larger datasets
● Quickly gather information like Where is the nearest bus stop? or search
within a specific radius
● Quickly receive planning appraisals on title with a click of your mouse
