The link icon indicates that the planning document is hosted externally, typically on the council’s planning portal. Occasionally, the council may block access to the document, or changes to their website (e.g., cookie settings, updates) may cause the link to stop working.
We are actively working on adding the 200+ million planning documents across the UK to our servers to prevent this issue in the future.
When you see the eyeball icon, it means the document is stored directly on our server. These documents will always be accessible and work 100% of the time, as we have securely scraped and stored them.
